Portion of Balligomingo Road Closed Indefinitely

PennDOT announced today that Balligomingo Road in West Conshohocken will have a portion of the road closed indefinitely due to the mudslide and debris that covered the road after a recent storm. The road was closed earlier this year when the property owner worked to make the slope more stable.

Below is the release from PennDOT:

Balligomingo Road is closed indefinitely between Route 23 (Front Street) and Portland Road in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County, for mud removal and slope stabilization following heavy rains on Saturday, June 27, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.

Crews are in the process of removing mud and debris from Balligomingo Road, and PennDOT is working with West Conshohocken Borough to address the stabilization of the slope to prevent further erosion.

During this operation, Balligomingo Road through traffic will be detoured over Route 23 (Front Street/Schuylkill River Road) and Route 320 (Swedeland Road/Holstein Road). Local access will be maintained during the operation. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
