We are told that a brewery is looking to open at 739 East Elm Street in the Conshohocken section of Whitemarsh.  If you are wondering where that is exactly, it is the one way section of Elm if you stay straight where East Elm meets Hector. It is pretty much directly behind the former Totaro’s, soon to be Bar Lucca location on East Hector.  As you can see in the image above it is an industrial/warehouse looking space.

Our east Conshy sources tell us it will be called “Conshy Brewery” and the owners are hoping to have a patio just off the bike path.  The inside decor will reflect Conshy history including its four long closed breweries; Conshohocken Brewing Company, F.X. Reiger Conshohocken Brewery, Crystal Springs Brewing Company and Gulf Brewing Company.  Based on what we are told, and note we have not been inside or spoke with the owners, it needs a lot of work.

We first heard about this a few months ago, but couldn’t track down any details or the proposed location.  We were told it was going to be the one way section of East Elm, but that didn’t seem to be an obvious spot that would be open for public business.  Today we also searched the PLCB website to see if a retail liquor or brewery license is listed for the address and we could not find one.  We also searched the Whitemarsh Township for any reference to a brewery and came up empty.
