Mayor’s Race Ends
After Marty Eckert’s (D) request for a recount was denied by the Board of Elections, the Democratic Party decided not to pursue it further in the courts. According to Eckert’s Facebook page, the party did not believe there was enough evidence to support the need for a recount.

Eckert Requests A Recount…
Marty Eckert, the recent Democratic mayoral candidate, first won by four votes on election night and then lost by one vote when the election tally was certified last Friday. He requested a recount this week, however, the Board of Elections decided not to vote on the matter.
