Conshohocken Teen Blessed by Pope Francis During Recent Papal Visit

Sean Hanlon, a 17 year old teen from Conshohocken, waited eight hours with his family to catch a glimpse of Pope Francis during last Saturday’s Papal Procession. Hanlon, who uses a wheel chair due to cerebral palsy, was able to secure a spot that would be directly in Pope Francis line of sight near 16th and JFK.

In the below video from CBS3, Hanlon’s mother Kerri Hanlon, shares the experience of when Pope Francis locked eyes with Sean and blessed him.

The Hanlon’s were also in the news recently when the documentary they worked on, “The Other Side of the Fence“, won a local Emmy. The documentary will be air today, Sunday, October 4th, at 1:00 p.m. on WHYY.
