Fellowship House to Celebrate Frank Zoltowski’s 50 Years of Service on December 7th

The Board of the Fellowship House is holding a Community Day on Sunday, December 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to celebrate the 50 years of service of Frank Zoltowski. Below are a few paragraphs a member of the board provided us to share about Zoltowski’s career and what he meant to the community:

Frank started working at the Fel for then director Albert Donofrio, who the tournament is named after, when he was 16 years old, he lives right across the street. He’s had many roles over the years, from managing the youth basketball and kickball leagues, to helping maintain the building/grounds. He has served for 39 years as the CYO Athletic Director, and Basketball and Baseball Coach of St. Matt’s/Conshy Catholic, he’s coached Babe Ruth baseball for over 20 years. His main role has been a youth coordinator, working with the kids. He is a member of the Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame.

He’s coached or influenced many of the area’s top players from Darlene Hildebrand, Chris Kaufmann (my brother), Archbishop Kennedy’s all time leading girls and boys scorers, to Karen Kozeniewski, Nancy Irwin, and Jim Borkowski helping many earn athletic college scholarships.

Frank has worked for 4 different executive directors has been involved the Fel from it’s initial opening in 1953. He has seen the transformation and growth of the Fel and has been instrumental in helping the Fel become an influential part of Conshohocken culture and history.

Throughout the past 50 years, Frank is synonymous with the Fel. Day-in-and-day out Frank has greeted the children and welcomed them to the Fel. He has been a positive influence for tens-of-thousands of Conshohocken youth over the years, and has always taught the principles of teamwork, dedication and sportsmanship.
