Guppy’s Good Times Gets Approved for Expansion

Last night there was a zoning hearing for a proposed expansion at Guppy’s Good Times. The owner of Guppy’s, Robin Gupta, was seeking approval to create a dining area on the second floor within the existing structure. The second floor is has been an unoccupied apartment for several years.

During the hearing, Gupta stated that he wants to create additional space to provide a better dining experience and that he would not seek to increase the occupancy of the building which is currently 177. The additional space will provide 25 to 30 additional seats. Gupta recently removed the bar within the Maple Room on the ground floor of the bar and restaurant and added a sushi station.

A handful of neighbors attended and spoke about parking issues and noise. The Zoning Hearing Board voted four to one to approve the request.
