LEGOLAND Discovery Center Breaks Ground at the Plymouth Meeting Mall

On Tuesday, LEGOLAND Discovery Center held an official groundbreaking at the Plymouth Meeting Mall. Construction has been taking place for several months and it is expected to open in the spring of 2017.

The LEGOLAND Discovery Center will be the only one in the region and the venue will be 33,000 square feet. It will feature 10 LEGO play zones offering thousands of LEGO bricks to play with, a LEGO themed ride, a 4-D cinema, and area dedicated to LEGO replicas of Philadelphia landmarks.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center is currently selling a limited number of First to Play Annual Passes for $59.00 (there is currently a special rate of $55.00). You can learn about and purchase these passes online.

Yesterday during the ground breaking, a construction vehicle dumped 50,000 LEGO bricks at the mall. Kids from Plymouth Elementary School were on-hand to help local officials with the ground breaking. See the video below:
