Macy’s Confirms Closure of Store at Plymouth Meeting Mall

Macy’s announced last year that it would be closing several dozen stores after the holidays and today it released the list confirming which stores would close. The store at the Plymouth Meeting Mall was on the list. Other nearby stores closing are Neshaminy, Moorestown (NJ) and Voorhees (NJ).

The Plymouth Meeting store is 214,000 square feet and has 74 associates. The mall opened in 1966 the anchor store where Macy’s currently is was Strawbridge & Clothier. The space became a Macy’s in 2006.
