Man Pleads Guilty to Conshohocken Area Crime Spree

John Michael McFarland Jr., a 28 year old from the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, recently pleaded guilty to five charges in Conshohocken and nearby communities for crimes involving theft, burglary and setting a car on fire.

The real serious crime stemmed from a burglary dating back to December of 2015 when he broke into a home in Plymouth Meeting and stole two guns and personal items such as social security cards. Four additional thefts involved tools from a auto repair shop in Plymouth Meeting, Jasper’s Backyard in Conshohocken while it was under construction, a truck in Bridgeport, and a construction site in Norristown. One night in March of 2016, McFarland stole a car parked outside Carol’s Bar in Conshohocken. The car was found nearby, but he had set it on fire and taken a watch from the car.

According to an article on MontgomeryNews.com, McFarland admitted to the crimes once arrested. You can read the full article here.
