Baggataway’s big Cinco de Mayo/Kentucky Derby party was a huge success.  Above are two friends I met the party.  One just moved to Conshy and the other is about too.  How did they end up at the party?  They saw it on MoreThanTheCurve.com.  I guess the website does work.  To see a bunch of other photos from the party click here.

People often ask me how people find out about my website.  One way is just a normal everyday Google search.  Since August 3rd, the day I launched the site, Google searches have resulted in 7,019 total visits via 1,760 keywords.  What are people searching for in Conshohocken?  Well a lot people are looking specifically for MoreThanTheCurve using all types of variations.  “MoreThanTheCurve+Conshohocken”, “Beyond the Curve+Conshy” and “Around the Curve+Conshohocken” are popular searches.  After the website itself, the new businesses that have started since August 3rd are the second most popular searches.  People seeking info on The StoneRose Restaurant have ended up on the site over 1,500 times.  Andy’s Diner, which opened a month or two ago, has resulted in over 400 visits.  Theresa’s in West Conshohocken has resulted in over 300 visits.  Outbound Station 100+ searches.  To the six people that have Googled me…knock it off.

Spamps is offering their 4th Annual Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 9th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Adults are $17.95 and kids under 10 are $6.95.  There is also a mimosa bar.

The Great American Pub was named one of the nine best places to watch a Phillies’ game by Philadelphia Magazine.

Stella Blu will open especially for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 9th from 1:00 – 8:00pm. Mother’s Day specials will be offered in addition to Stella Blu’s a la carte menu.  All moms will receive a complimentary glass of champagne!

On Thursday, May 6th Gypsy Saloon will team up with Philadelphia’s own, Yards Brewing Company for a four-course beer dinner. The cost is $55 per person (plus tax & gratuity) with open seating beginning at 5:30pm.

Conshohocken Catholic School is holding their annual Ducky Regatta on Saturday, May 8th at 10:00 a.m.  To support the school you can buy a chance which assigns you a numbered duck.  The ducks are dropped into the river and float down towards the bridge.  First duck under the bridge wins.  Top six ducks win prizes; $1,000, $500, $250 and three win $50 gift cards.  They will be selling ducks on the West Conshohocken side of the river that morning.  You can also call the school at 610-828-2007.

Sam Lit will not be spinning the Oldies at Spamps on Friday nights for the immediate future.

Edwards-Freeman’s candy of the week is Bit-O-Honey, a chewy candy with almond bits blended into a honey flavored taffy with a little bit-o-honey, little bit-o-almond, lots of lip-smackin’ taste!  A one pound bag is $3,50.

Conshohocken’s David Bridal and Vera Wang have joined forces.

Crozer-Keystone Health System reached an agreement Friday with Conshohocken’s Keystone Mercy Health Plan to renew its contract to provide health care for patients with medical assistance coverage. The deal came hours before the previous contract was set to expire.

The Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News and Philly.com were sold, including the Conshohocken printing plant, at auction last week.

Lehigh University may sell its trash to someone in Conshohocken.
