Philadelphia Floor Store, the business destroyed by fire over the weekend, issued a press release and video yesterday. The owners state that they plan to rebuild. Read the release and watch the video below:

Philadelphia Floor Store (PFS), a leading hardwood flooring supplier, suffered a devastating fire on Sunday, May 17th at approximately 3:30 AM EST. It took dozens of fire trucks and more than a hundred firefighters from several townships to extinguish the blaze that completely destroyed the company’s main headquarters in Conshohocken, PA. No injuries were sustained.

“We are extremely fortunate that no one from our team, nor anyone from neighboring residences and businesses, was injured,” said Mike Glavin, Philadelphia Floor Store owner and founder.

The company did suffer immeasurable losses in terms of inventory and equipment. Philly Floor’s entire inventory of products, encompassing over 10,000 SKUs, burned to the ground. All operating equipment––including trucks, machine repair instruments, computers, forklifts, and internet servers––has been reduced to rubble and twisted metal.

The company plans to rebuild – watch video message from PFS founders. Key members of the PFS team are already hard at work in a temporary “Command Center” in Boothwyn, PA. “We have an excellent team, a supportive network, and enormous faith in our ability to rebound from this tragedy to become bigger, better, and stronger than ever,” continued Glavin. The search for a new site is also underway, as is an investigation into the cause of the fire.

Members of the PFS team are in the process of contacting all vendors and customers. The company is grateful for the outpouring of support from the flooring community and appreciates everyone’s patience during this trying time.
