Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Ranked Nationally by US News & World Report

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School was recently ranked among the top 3.5 percent of high schools in Pennsylvania and the top 5.5 percent in the nation according to the annual rankings released by US News & World Report. The magazine rates Plymouth Whitemarsh High School 24th in Pennsylvania among 602 public and 74 Charter schools. Nationally, the school was 1,029th on the list of 19,908 schools considered for the rankings.

“Our administrators, teachers and staff work hard to continually improve our curriculum and instruction,” said Colonial Superintendent Dr. MaryEllen Gorodetzer. “This recognition is affirmation of our commitment to the continued success of our students.”

Scores on state level math and reading proficiency tests during the 2013-2014 school year were used in addition to a college-ready performance score. The college-readiness performance was determined using Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate test data from members of the Class of 2014.

US News & World Report rated Plymouth Whitemarsh High School 25th in Pennsylvania in 2015 and 31st in 2013.
