Proposed New Zoning District to Allow Hotel, Etc, has Hearing Before Borough Council on December 7th

A hearing involving the proposed new zoning district, SP-4, will take place before Conshohocken’s Borough Council on Wednesday, December 6th at 7:00 p.m. Approval of the new district would allow Keystone Property Group to move forward with its proposed hotel, taller office buildings, public square and expanded parking garage.

The proposal to create the district seemed to be snagged a bit due to a disagreement between the Borough of Conshohocken and Keystone Property Group over how many public parking spaces were going to be required. The Borough wants 300 all-time, every-day spaces. Keystone wants to make the spaces only available for public use on nights and weekends. It will be interesting to see if this issue has been resolved between hearings.

The hearing will be held at Borough Hall at West 4th Avenue and Fayette Street.
