Three public officials representing the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, SEPTA and the Borough of Conshohocken will discuss how the town’s growth has impacted the area’s roads and railways Tuesday, July 28, at the second “Conshy at the Crossroads” community forum.

Hosted by the Conshohocken Revitalization Alliance and MoreThanTheCurve.com, “Conshy at the Crossroads” is a public forum for people who live, work and play in the one-square-mile borough. It will be held at the Washington Fire Company, 36 West Elm Street, Conshohocken, at 7:00 p.m. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

Panelists will include Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation Leslie Richards (a native of Whitemarsh Township); Robert Lund, SEPTA’s assistant general manager of engineering, maintenance and construction; and Conshohocken Borough Manager Richard Manfredi.

The conversation will cover the borough’s traffic issues and how the highways impacted it; the role public transportation can play as new residents move into Conshohocken and what the borough is doing at a local level to help improve traffic flow and walkability.

The July event is the second in a year-long series of “Conshy at the Crossroads” events that will focus on specific areas of the community’s evolution. The first event in April attracted more than 50 residents, who participated in a lively conversation about the past, present and future of Conshohocken’s redevelopment.
