SEPTA Announces Regional Rail Yards Are Being Blocked by Those on Strike and “Significant” Number of Trains Being Cancelled

Those SEPTA workers who went on strike today, who have nothing to do with the Regional Rail service, are now blocking train yards. This has resulted in SEPTA making the following announcement regarding Regional Rail service this evening:

A significant number of trains will be canceled tonight as several rail yards are blocked. Picketers are preventing crews from getting to trains. Passengers are urged to seek alternate means.

It doesn’t specify which lines will be impacted. So good luck to those relying on Regional Rail to get home tonight.
