Target has replaced its cafe with a Starbucks and a Pizza Hut. That is all we have on that.

The rumor mill tells us, and we have heard this from several informed people over the course of a few months, that Starbucks is seeking a location in Conshohocken. We are told they made an offer at a spot on East Hector just over the Whitemarsh border, but that it wasn’t accepted.

What makes us somewhat disbelieve the rumor is that they didn’t snatch up the Exxon station that was for sale at East 7th and Fayette. However, the developer that purchased the property plans for several retail spaces on the ground floor, so it is not crazy to think a Starbucks could fill one of those spaces.
