The Conshohocken Police Department’s Online Transaction Safe Zone First in the Nation

As we reported two days ago, the Conshohocken Police Department has started promoting its lobby and parking lot as an online transaction safe zone. This means if you are buying or selling something online, you are encouraged to complete the sale or purchase at the police station, which provides a safe environment.

In its coverage, FOX29 referred to the “online transaction safe zone” as the first in the nation. Nice to see Chief Michael Orler and the department taking the initiative and creating something that we are sure will begin popping up in communities across the nation.

UPDATE – We actually Googled searching to see if Conshy was indeed the first. There is a story going back to October 6 2014 where Delray Beach and Boynton Beach created a similar program.
