Vera Kosabutski

How did you come to live and/or work in Conshohocken?

I own Lavenders Body Care Clinic currently located on West 7th. I have been there for three years and will be moving to West 8th in a few weeks. It’s going to be a day spa and I am very excited to be able to offer Conshohocken great ‘experiences‘.

What do you do (career wise)?

Well besides owning the spa, I have 15 years of massage and skin care experience. I love my career and really enjoy my work and once you have gotten the ‘Vera’ massage, you’ll know what I’m saying. (My clients have dubbed that for me). I have a lot of passion for it and thoroughly enjoy making people happy. I am very, very excited for the pending opening of the day spa as I will be able to spread the joy to many more people.

What are you involved in outside of work?

When I’m not at work, which is rarely, I really take a lot of pleasure gardening. I can spend all day in the yard; It’s how I decompress. I have a very beautiful home (thanks to my cleaning lady) in Plymouth Meeting and I have many beds to work in. This is my favorite time of year because all my Irises are in bloom.
Outside of that, I participate in various charities, mostly monetarily and when I have the time/money I love, love to travel.

What do you love most about Conshohocken?
I have to say, Conshohocken has been very good to me from a business point of view. I have really enjoyed getting to really know the locals and I love listening to all the stories they have to tell. Conshohocken has quite a history and it should be told.

I also like that there is a real strong sense of community here. I love the fact that all the restaurants will pull together in times of crisis and the residents are just as supportive. There is a great mix of young and old and the traditions, like the Soap Box Derby, are really unforgettable and should be heavily supported by all, including the boro. We don’t realize that we are blessed for it because I don’t know any other town that has it.

What are your favorite places in Conshohocken?

I have been to every single restaurant in Conshohocken, including the West side. I had a wonderful dinner at Pepperoncini’s, Carol at Totaro’s makes a great Maritini (my summer drink), The Stone Rose has been a pleasant surprise, and the M Bar is a fun place to hang out. I have the feeling that when my spa opens, that will be my favorite place. It will be a very warm and inviting place to visit and everyone will be happy; and who doesn’t love that!
