Whitemarsh Township’s Board of Supervisors Unanimously Vote to Approve New Fire Services Plan

The Whitemarsh Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to approve a change to its fire services ordinance at its meeting this evening. The new fire services plan only contracts with Barren Hill Fire Company and the Spring Mill Fire Company. The Lincoln Fire Company would no longer be called upon to serve the township, which would effectively close the fire company.

The vote happened quickly and no one chose to make a public comment, nor did any members of the Board of Supervisors.

That is all we can report tonight. As we mentioned in a previous article, we have filed two “right to know” requests to explore the decision making process that acted to exclude the Lincoln Fire Company from the new fire services plan.

More to come.
