Win Two Tickets to See Leon Russell at Sellerville Theater on September 26th

Leon Russell has a special connection to Conshohocken he probably doesn’t even realize. Back in 1971, a local radio station held a concert in Conshohocken at A. A. Garthwaite Stadium. The event was promoted as a secret concert and the radio station gave out on-air clues leading up to it. The concert was a big deal in Conshohocken and people still talk about it. Local historian Jack Coll provides a good history of the concert and the aftermath on ConshyStuff.com.

We saw some people talking about Leon Russell and the concert on one of the Conshy oriented Facebook groups and decided to see if Russell was playing anywhere nearby. It just so happens, Russell will be performing about 40 minutes away from Conshy at the Sellersville Theater on Monday, September 26th. We contacted the theater, told them the history, and the theater agreed to give us two tickets to giveaway. The theater’s sister property, The Washington House Hotel, also threw in a $20.00 gift certificate to put towards drinks or dinner before/after the show.
