10 Things To Look for in 2016 in Conshohocken Area

It is always fun to look ahead and predict what will happen in the upcoming year. Below we provide what we think will happen and the likelihood of it becoming reality. Some are a given, which we designate as definite. If we think its probable, we marked it as likely. If we just have a hunch of something happening, it is labeled as a suspicion.

Here they are (no particular order):

  • SS. Cosmas & Damian Parish and St. Gertrude Parish will be sold (likely)
  • The zoning hearings for the proposed convenience store and gas pumps will continue into 2016 (definite)
  • Conshohocken will have two new restaurants, Jasper’s Backyard (at the former Casmar location) and Tierra Caliente (in the former furniture store at West 2nd and Fayette) (definite)
  • The addition of new liquor licenses into Conshohocken will become a big issue (suspicion)
  • Ground will break for at least one of the approved office buildings in Conshohocken (likely)
  • Anita Barton will be the chosen as the president of Conshohocken’s Borough Council (suspicion)
  • The process that will involve approving or denying the proposed redevelopment of the western unit block of Fayette Street by Keystone Property Group will be a long and drawn out process (likely)
  • The Plymouth Meeting Mall will have more announcements regarding its transformation from a retail destination to a recreation/dining destination (likely)
  • Old Borough Hall will be sold (suspicion)
  • Home values will continue to rise in Conshohocken’s housing market (likely)

So that is that. Let us know in the comments what you think we missed
