$12 Million Upgrade to SEPTA’s s Frontier Bus Depot in Conshohocken

On Wednesday, September 19th, PA Secretary of Transportation, Leslie S. Richards will join SEPTA and local officials to tour a major construction project at SEPTA’s Frontier District Bus Depot in Conshohocken. For the people who can’t get over addresses, the depot is actually in Plymouth Township, but has a Conshohocken address.

The facility houses and services 99 buses that provide  service to nearly 15,000 riders each weekday across 26 routes in Montgomery, Bucks and Chester Counties. The $12 million project was funded by Act 89, which provides capital funds for transportation projects throughout the Commonwealth.

The improvements will include:

  • roof replacement
  • complete site surface repaving
  • safety and energy-efficient upgrades
  • stormwater management improvements
  • new water-recycling bus washer equipment utilizing
    rainwater harvesting
