23 new positive tests for Coronavirus in Montgomery County. The new total is 159

Montgomery County officials announced today that 23 people have tested positive for Coronavirus since yesterday. The new total is 159. There are no new cases in Conshohocken (one positive), West Conshohocken (0 positive), Plymouth Township (one positive), and Whitemarsh Township (two positives).

Also announced were expanded criteria pertaining to the county’s public testing Coronavirus testing site at Temple University’s Ambler campus in Upper Dublin. Below are the new criteria:

The #MontCo Drive Through Testing Site has expanded criteria for testing requirements effective immediately:

-NEW: Persons of any age and with symptoms of sudden illness (such as fever OR cough OR shortness of breath OR loss of smell/taste including gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea OR vomiting OR diarrhea) with or without fever

-UPDATED: First responder (law enforcement, fire, EMS, or dispatcher) AND concern for exposure to a patient with suspected COVID-19 OR symptoms of any sudden illness with or without fever

-UPDATED: Healthcare worker providing direct patient care AND concern for exposure to a patient with suspected COVID-19 OR symptoms of any sudden illness with or without fever

-Anyone with known or suspected direct contact to someone with COVID-19

-Anyone who has been recommended by their doctor to get tested.
