Banh Street, a popular banh mi shop in Ambler, is opening a virtual restaurant offering takeout from Southern Cross Kitchen at 8 East First Avenue and delivery via DoorDash and Grubhub. The menu will go live on January 6th.

Southern Cross Kitchen will continue to operate normally, this is just an additional line of business for the location.

Banh Street’s menu features banh mi sandwiches (Vietnamese hoagies), Asian street tacos, rice bowls, double-fried chicken, salads, pho, and bao buns. The restaurant has won Best of Ambler for “Best Asian” three years in a row.

The kitchen staff from Southern Cross Kitchen, which includes an executive chef from Laos, has been training at the Banh Street location in Ambler for several weeks.

Banh Street is owned by Michael Golden, who is a partner in Conshy Girls Restaurant Group, which is the parent company of Southern Cross Kitchen and Gypsy Saloon. Golden is also an investor/partner in Burb Media, the parent company of MoreThanTheCurve.com.
