Borough of Conshohocken Seeking Members of Comprehensive Plan Task Force

The Borough of Conshohocken Borough is undertaking a new Comprehensive Plan and is seeking applications from residents to join the Task Force. According to the notice put out by the Borough, “The purpose of this advisory task force is to work in concert with the Borough Council in reviewing, assessing, and making recommendations regarding achieving sound planning and comprehensive community goals and objectives in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code”.

The Task Force is going to be consist of nine people and the Borough is hoping to get people involved from various segments of the community. They are:

  • One (1) Member from a Borough Athletic Association;
  • One (1) Member from the Borough’s Senior Community;
  • One (1) Member from the Borough’s Business Community;
  • One (1) Member from the Borough’s K – 12 Education Community; and
  • Three (3) Members to be appointed at large
  • Two members will be from Borough Council

If you are interested in serving on the Task Force, and have been a resident of the Borough for at least one full year, download the application and submit it with a cover letter and resume to:

UPDATE – We asked the Borough whether property owners and not just residents could apply. The answer we received stated, “It is the discretion of Council to make the selections based on who actually applies and their qualifications. The Borough will not discourage anyone from applying”.
