Borough of West Conshohocken Agrees to Buy Saint Gertrude’s Church Property

During its March 2nd meeting, West Conshohocken’s Borough Council voted 7-0 to sign an agreement with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to purchase the Saint Gertrude’s Church property. Over the past two years, the parish was merged with parishes in Conshohocken at Saint Matthew Parish, the church was used as a worship center, and the church was most recently relegated to profane but not sordid use on January 1, 2016.

The purchase price is $1,250,000. We are told that there is a 90-day window for the Borough to examine the property and finalize the purchase.
