Bridgeport’s Borough Council Receptive to Marijuana Greenhouses

During last night’s meeting of Bridgeport’s Borough Council there was a presentation by Black Lab Botanicals regarding the possibility of a medical marijuana growing/processing facility in the borough. If Black Lab receives the license from the state it hopes to open the facility at 125 Boro Line Road (pictured above).

A lot of towns across the state are trying to figure out how to handle the need for the eventual growing facilities and dispensaries. If you are interested in this issue, here is an article from The Morning Call on the subject.

So how did Bridgeport decide to handle it? Its’ Borough Council voted 5-1 to support Black Lab’s application to obtain the license. The lone dissenter was Nicole Nicole Pierce. Council member Mark Barbee did not attend the meeting. The Times Herald has an article on the presentation.
