The worst kept secret in town was that the Casmar Cafe was going to be for sale. I met with local commercial realtor Gary DeMedio today who has officially listed the bar and restaurant located at at 101 East 7th Avenue. The sale includes all real estate, liquor license and all furniture fixture and equipment. The owners, the Cassidy family, have owned the Casmar for about 30 years.

The last bar and restaurant to come up for sale, 8 East, was purchased by the owners of Gypsy Saloon and Stella Blu in West Conshohocken. However, there was great interest from Philadelphia restauranteurs in the 8 East property and a few Philly restaurants are already on the move to the suburbs.  It will be interesting to see who secures the spot and what the concept will be.
