Colonial Middle School’s Gentleman’s Club collected and donated 930 pairs of gloves

Members of the Colonial Middle School’s Gentleman’s Club, which is a group of eighth-grade boys whose goal is to leave a lasting and positive impression on the school and community at large, collected 930 pairs of gloves, which were donated to Laurel House and the Colonial Neighborhood Council.

“I was thinking it was getting colder outside and sometimes gloves could be expensive,” said Aaron Walski who suggested the idea to collect gloves for the group’s first community service project. “I thought we could help people get nice gloves for the winter.”

“I was very surprised we got that many gloves,” said Shane Rentschler. “I am very happy that we are able to help people this way.”

“We’re trying to help our community outside of school,” said Taeshaun Johnson. “It is the respectful thing to do.”
