Colonial School Board to hold a special meeting to discuss recent COVID-19 recommendations

The Colonial Board has announced that there will be a special meeting on Monday, August 9th at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of discussing and receiving comments regarding the district’s 2021-2022 health and safety plan, recent COVID-19 guidance from the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, as well as state and federal recommendations specifically related to mitigation efforts such as masking.

The district previously announced that it would hold in-person instruction five days a week for the upcoming school year. That doesn’t appear to be in jeopardy. In the announcement for the special meeting, it states, “Colonial continues to plan for five days of in-person instruction this coming school year.”

The meeting with be held in the General Meeting Room at Colonial Elementary School. It will also be broadcast live on the District’s Youtube channel, through Zoom, and on the local cable channel (CITV).
