Conshohocken steel plant focus of article about tariffs and national security

The website AmericanManufacturing.org, which is a publication of The Alliance for American Manufacturing, has an article on how tariffs on foreign steel put in place during the Trump administration helped save the steel plant in Conshohocken. The Alliance for American Manufacturing describes itself as a “non-profit, non-partisan partnership formed in 2007 by some of America’s leading manufacturers and the United Steelworkers.”

The article, “Trade action saved America’s steel industry,” argues that the tariffs put in place by the Trump administration must be kept in place. The tariffs have been supported by key members of the Biden administration, but the industry is worried about pressure from allies to drop them.

Whether you support the tariffs or not, many will find it interesting because it goes into detail about how the Conshohocken steel plant is important in regards to national security, etc.
