Conshohocken’s Borough Council to consider approving 12 townhomes on East Hector

On the agenda of the September 16th meeting of Conshohocken’s Borough Council is two items under consideration that would enable the redevelopment of the property at 541 East Hector Street. The meeting will be held online at 7:00 p.m. and details can be found here.

The two items are:

  • Consider granting conditional use approval for 541 East Hector Street
  • Consider approving Resolution 2020-23 approving preliminary/final land development for 541 East Hector Street

MoreThanTheCurve.com has reported on this proposed redevelopment previously. Craft Custom Homes is seeking to construct a 12-unit townhome community on the property, which would replace a commercial building.

The developer completed the zoning process in 2018 and now needs these two final approvals from Borough Council to move forward.

Transparency Alert!

When the Borough of Conshohocken publishes an agenda it does not include any of the supporting documents. How can the public know if it’s supportive or concerned about any particular item without these documents?

Whitemarsh Township now publishes all the supportive documents with its agendas. It’s most recent agenda totaled 594 pages available in a single PDF for the public to review prior to the meeting.

During the most recent municipal election (2019), MoreThanTheCurve.com asked candidates to sign a transparency pledge. The four winning candidates, Democrats and incumbents Colleen Leonard, Karen Tutino, Jane Flanagan, and Tina Sokolowski all declined to sign.

One of the items on the pledge was to make supporting documents available to the public.
