Conshohocken’s Borough Council voted to advertise new animal control ordinance

During a September 15th meeting, Conshohocken’s Borough Council voted 5-0 (Anita Barton representing ward 4 and Bob Stokley representing ward 6 were absent) to advertise a new animal control ordinance.

The ordinance creates an animal control officer, establishes a prohibition of having dogs off-leash, bans roosters, addresses dog owners not picking up after their dog, and makes feeding feral cats illegal.

Once the ordinance is advertised it can be voted on at a future meeting.

We emailed the borough twice seeking a copy of the ordinance and did not receive a reply.
