Covanta agreement on agenda for Conshohocken’s Borough Council

On the agenda for the November 20th meeting of Conshohocken’s Borough Council is an addendum to the agreement with Covanta to burn the borough’s trash. The agreement has not yet been voted on, and the addendum is listed under “New Business,” so this is something that likely hasn’t been discussed publicly before.

From the agenda:

Consider approving an Addendum to the Solid Waste Disposal Agreement with Covanta Plymouth

Plymouth Township and West Conshohocken have both agreed to two-year extensions with Covanta. Whitemarsh decided to stop burning its trash at Covanta and will utilize a landfill for the next three to five years.
