Updated – Event – Area 9/11 Observances

Sutcliffe Park: Conshohocken is holding a Remembrance on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. m at  Sutcliffe Park.  The events of the evening include an hour to meet your neighbors, the national anthem, color guard, and guest speakers such as Sheriff Eileen Behr, Rep Mike Gerber, Pastor Brad Lacey from First Baptist Church, Father Gasper Genuardi from SS. Cosmas & Damien and possibly others. From 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. luminaries spelling out 9/11/01 will be lit and attendees will participate in a moment of silence.

Miles Park: The Plymouth-Whitemarsh Ministerium will be hosting a 9/11 Interfaith Service of Remembrance at the Miles Park Pavilion on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 4:30 p.m.  The Plymouth-Whitemarsh Ministerium is group of 12 faith communities in Whitemarsh and Plymouth Townships.  For more information on this event, contact: Reverend Kathleen Walter, st.juderector@verizon.net.

PW High School: Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School will be hosting a presentation and concert as a memorial and reflection of 9/11 at the High School auditorium at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11.  For more information on this program contact: Amy LaRue, alarue@colonialsd.org.

Spamps: Rachel and Max Weiner are hosting a fundraiser at Spamps on Wednesday, September 14th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to raise funds for two scholarships that were created in memory of two victims on September 11th. The donation is $25.00 and there will be food and drink specials.  All proceeds to benefit the Joshua T. Aron ’94 Memorial Scholarship at Cornell University and
William E. Spitz Memorial Scholarship at C.W. Post University.  Click here to see the Evite.
