Brendan Flanagan, Eagle Scout Candidate of Boy Scout Troop 12, in conjunction with the Conshohocken Historical Society, The Borough Council and Borough of Conshohocken, The Friends of Conshohocken Parks Mary Wood Park Centennial Celebration & Restoration and Scouts BSA Troop 12 Barren Hill PA Boy Scouts of America and many volunteers, will unveil the Conshohocken History Exhibition at Borough Hall on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM, February 20th, 2019 at the opening of the Borough Council meeting at 401 Fayette Street and 4th Avenue in Conshohocken. The Exhibition of Conshohocken’s history includes over 150 pictures and pieces of memorabilia from the Conshohocken Historical Society that were cataloged, cleaned, organized and installed for the display. Through the Exhibition, visitors to Conshohocken Borough Hall will be exposed to the rich history of Conshohocken, particularly the role of two prominent companies, Lee Tire & Rubber Company, and Alan Wood Steel, which provided a livelihood to thousands of Conshohocken residents. The display also includes details around the bequest of the Mary H. Wood Park House and property to the Borough of Conshohocken by Mary H. Wood, wife of Alan Wood, Jr, to be set aside as a “public park or playground for the recreation and enjoyment of the public.” Free Admission - Kid Friendly
