March for Women's Rights - Conshy - MoreThanTheCurve
Serving Conshohocken, Lafayette Hill, Plymouth Meeting and West Conshohocken since 2009.
  1. March for Women’s Rights – Conshy

Politics, Hosted By Amelia Gale and Riley Juliet

  2. Took place on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 @ 11:00am
  3. Conshohocken, PA
  4. On June 24, 2022 the US Supreme Court overturned the 50 year precedent of Roe v Wade, which will have countless implications for women's physical and mental health as well as economic inequality for future generations. While Pennsylvania currently protects a woman's right to choose abortion until 24 weeks of pregnancy, this year's midterm election as well as future elections could easily affect those protections. Conshohocken Pride believes strongly in a woman's right to choose and want to ensure that future generations of Pennsylvanians and Conshohocken residents maintain those protections.

On Saturday, July 16 we will convene at the Conshohocken Train Station on Washington Street at 11:00AM. We will be walking up the steps to cross the Fayette Street Bridge, up Fayette Street on the sidewalks to Borough Hall at 4th and Fayette. If you are unable to march or handle stairs, we would love it if you could join us at Borough Hall for some brief remarks.

Our plan is to peacefully march to raise awareness and keep the conversation going. People of all ages and gender identities are welcome, signs are encouraged, and the Borough is on board with our right to peacefully protest. We have no plan to disrupt traffic or residential/commercial business, and disruptive protesters will not be welcome. We plan to use this march as a respectful, meaningful way to express our beliefs and look forward to seeing you all there!
