  4. The Ugandan Kids Choir will be performing at Conshohocken United Methodist Church on July 29th. The Choir is sponsored by Childcare Worldwide (CCW). The Ugandan Kids Choir will be bringing their message of hope and sharing the power of God’s love through traditional music and dance. The choir will perform during the 10:00 a.m. service and there will be a potluck lunch afterwards. The 10 sponsored children (5 girls and 5 boys), who make up the choir are between ages 8-12 and come from the poorest parts of Uganda. They have been chosen for this tour for their enthusiasm, ability, and dedication—all of which make them potential leaders when they return to their communities.     Founded in 1981, CCW is a Christian child sponsorship ministry dedicated to sharing the gospel, providing hope, and developing the unlimited potential of impoverished children around the world. CCW Programs focus on empowering children. Through their child sponsorship and other programs, they empower impoverished children with the means and tools to transform their lives now and into the future. CCW Programs provide foodwater and medical care, ensuring children have the means to sustain themselves for today. By providing education—all the way through trade school or college—they empower them to succeed in the future. And by bringing them the Gospel of Jesus and strong Christian training through the Life Centers and Christian Character Building ministries, they offer them hope for all eternity. The Christian Character Building program focuses on the long-term development of Christian leadership, morals, integrity, ethics, and values. Children in the poorest areas are surrounded by corruption, greed, and violence. This program is designed to give children the ability to withstand and change these societal issues as they grow into young leaders and adulthood.
