Everything you need to know about the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Conshohocken on March 26th

The Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Conshohocken is Saturday, March 26th at 2:00 p.m. The parade was originally scheduled to take place on March 12th but was postponed due to the weather. The parade on March 26th will take place rain or shine.


Weather Forecast

The weather forecast for this Saturday doesn’t look great, but it has improved over the past couple of days. Weather.com shows a forecast of the low 50s, with rain in the morning, and winds from 10 to 15 mph. The parade has been held in worse weather. You can check the latest forecast here.


Schedule

The Conshohocken St. Paddy’s Day 5K Classic will start at 1:00 p.m.

The parade will start at 2:00 p.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m.


Road Closures

The follwoing roads will be closed as of 10:00 a.m. and through the concusion of the parade.

  • Fayette Street between Elm Street to 11th Avenue
  • 100 and 200 blocks of East 11th Avenue
  • 100 block of East 10th Avenue
  • Northbound lane at 3rd Avenue and Fayette Street

Detours

West Side of Fayette Street
Traffic may enter / exit Conshohocken via Elm Street to Conshohocken Road and to Colwell Lane via Elm Street and other avenues that exit onto
Colwell Lane. Traffic may also exit onto Fayette Street in the north end of town via 11th Avenue and 12th Avenue.


East Side of Fayette Street
From the south end of town traffic may use Elm Street to access Spring Mill Avenue and East Hector Street to access areas in the east end of Conshohocken.

Fayette Street North of 11th Avenue (Butler Pike) up to North Lane
At the request of Whitemarsh Township, Butler Pike will be closed from North Lane south into Conshohocken Borough. Local and parade traffic will be allowed access.

Access to Conshohocken may be via Conshohocken Road, Colwell Lane, North Lane and the Matsonford Bridge.


Parking

There is a large parking garage with public access at West Elm and Oak streets. Take Oak Street to entrance.

Parking is not allowed on the following streets:

  • Fayette Street from Elm Street to 11th Avenue
  • 100 and 200 blocks of E. 11th Avenue
  • 100 block of E. 10th Avenue
  • Harry Street, between E. 10th and E. 11th Avenue

By Regional Rail

If you are taking Regional Rail into Conshohocken for the parade, get off at the Conshohocken Station (not the Spring Mill Station). This will put you within a short walking distance from the parade route. Walk up Harry Street to the parade.


Bars, Restaurants & Retail

So what is happening along Fayette Street before, during, and after the parade? Below is a rundown of what the local bars, restaurants, and retail shops are doing:

Flanigan’s Boathouse | 113 Fayette Street
The Boathouse will have an Irish pub menu inside. There will be a beer tent outside and the Below Deck Bottle Shop will be open for beer/wine to-go.

Guppy’s Good Times | 2 Maple Street
On special will be $5 Bud Light 16 oz bottles and $5 cheeseburger sliders (2). Sean Royle will be playing live from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., plus a special appearance by Irish Thunder. DJ goes until 10:00 p.m.

Southern Cross Kitchen | 8 East 1st Avenue
On special will be $5 Bud Light aluminum 16 oz and $8 Bushmill mixes. There will also be an Irish craft cocktail menu. Brunch is served beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Great American Pub | 123 Fayette Street
The Paul Moore Band will be playing starting at 3:00 p.m. and will be followed by Oakwyn. DJ Huckspinna will keep the party going to 1:30 p.m.

Brunch | 521 Fayette Street
Will be open as usual for brunch from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The cafe will be featuring dishes with Girl Scout Cookies. Brunch will also be offering tours of the George Washington Wood Bed & Breakfast (and event space) from 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m. You can find the property at 201 East 5th Avenue.

CVA VFW Post 1074 | 300 East 5th Avenue
The post will open at 10:00 a.m. Starting at 4:00 p.m. there will be a Saint Patrick’s Day party with drink specials and live Irish music.

‘feine | 812 Fayette Street
There will be specialty beverages like the Nutty Irishman and the Irish Potato Latt, plus Lucky Charms marshmallow bars and brownies.

Deli on 4th/Shack in the Back | 326 Fayette Street
Deli on 4th will have cheesesteak eggrolls, hot dogs, hot sausages, BBQ pulled pork, snacks, and drinks. The Shack in the Back will offer fresh-pressed watermelon juice in front of the Deli.

The StoneRose | 822 Fayette Street
The StoneRose will have short rib cheesesteaks and Rosemary truffle fries, plus $5 Guinness pub cans.
