FedEx truck removed from Schuykill River

A FedEx truck ended up in the Schuylkill River in West Conshohocken after the recent flooding from a tropical storm. Janeway Towing and the George Clay Fire Company worked together to remove the truck on the morning of August 22nd. Janeway was contracted by the West Conshohocken Police Department.

We are told that the truck was swept into Gulph Creek and under River Road where the box was torn off. The rest of the vehicle ended up on some rocks in the river.

To remove it, the fire company rigged two straps to it so Janeway’s 75-ton rotator could winch and lift it out of the water.

Below is a video from the flooding earlier this month along Balligomingo Road.
