Fire Companies Address Colonial Fire Prevention Expo Being Held on Yom Kippur

The fire companies within the Colonial School District do an annual Fire Prevention Expo each October during Fire Prevention. This year’s expo was scheduled for Wednesday, October 9th.

This year that date is the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur can fall anytime between mid-September to mid-October each year. For example, last year it was September 18th. Next year it will be September 28th.

Once the conflict was pointed out, the fire companies released a statement to address the issue. Since the event is just a few days away the event will be held as planned, but there will be two additional events so everyone can participate. The additional events are:

Wednesday, October 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Plymouth Fire Company, Conshohocken Fire Company No. 2 and Washington Fire Company No. 1
at Plymouth Fire Company

Wednesday, October 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Monday, October 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
