From the resolution honoring Ambs:

Harmonville Firefighter Kevin Ambs was honored for his heroic actions.
On the evening of Friday, September 20, 2019 there was a vehicle crash in the area of 225 W. Germantown Pike in Plymouth Township. One of the vehicles involved in the crash caught fire and immediately began to be consumed by flames.

The vehicle driver, Charlene Washington, was disoriented as a result of the crash and airbag deployment. As a result, Ms. Washington was unable to exit her vehicle.

Firefighter Ambs, was off duty, travelling in the area where the crash occurred. Firefighter Ambs, having observed the vehicle on fire, stopped his personal vehicle, jumped the median along Germantown Pike and pulled Ms. Washington to safety just prior to the car becoming fully engulfed in flames.
