On Thursday, March 10th at 7:00 p.m., the Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library will host a presentation by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS): 2016 Philadelphia Flower Show: EXPLORE AMERICA 100 Years of National Park Service. The presenter will be Jeff Barg, PHS’ Associate Director for Planning and External Policy Relations.
Barg’s presentation will also include information about the PHS’ efforts to green the Greater Philadelphia region through programs including City Harvest, Philadelphia LandCare, Plant One Million, Pop Up Gardens, Rain Check, Public Landscapes partner programs, Green City Teachers, Tree Tenders, and Garden Tenders.
This event is free and open to the public, and will follow the brief Annual Meeting of the Friends organization. The program will take place in the Willaman Community Commons on the library’s lower level.
The William Jeanes Memorial Library and Nicholas and Athena Karabots Center for Learning, which serves as the public library for Whitemarsh Township, is located at 4051 Joshua Road in Lafayette Hill.
