For Fun | Top 10 Google searches that drove people to MoreThanTheCurve.com in 2020

At the end of the year we always like to take a look at what people googled to end up on MoreThanTheCurve.com. It is always a good mix of topics. This year a couple of Conshohocken natives appeared on Netflix’s The Circle and they drove a lot of people to MoreThanTheCurve.com.

Please note, we did not include general searches for Conshohocken, MoreThanTheCurve.com, Conshohocken Restaurant Week or anything COVID related.

Otherwise, the Top 10 are:

  1. Ed Eason from The Circle. Eason and his mother Tammy appeared on the later half of Netflix’s The Circle and had people across the country mispronouncing Conshohocken.
  2. Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Gale. The Republican commissioner became the face of opposition to Black Live Matter regionally. His letter condemning the group and was condemned across the state and there was even a protest in front of his home
  3. Jimmy Johns. The sandwich chain closed its Conshohocken location due to the lack of business resulting from the workers who usually fill the large office buildings now working at home in response to the pandemic.
  4. Top Golf. The golf entertainment venue is opening a location in King of Prussia.
  5. Austin Stevens. Stevens, who grew up in Conshohocken, was arrested for the murder of his daughter.
  6. Stan Cascio. The Republican activist who lives in Whitemarsh has a radio show, regularly loses elections, and does stunts like this.
  7. Ted Bundy. Serial killer Ted Bundy briefly lived in Lafayette Hill when he attended Temple University. We did a short article about that when a Netflix documentary came out about him a couple of years ago.
  8. Inn of the Four Falls. This restaurant closed decades ago in West Conshohocken, but it looks like people are still curious about it in 2020.
  9. Naheem McLeod. McLeod is a 7′ basketball player who graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. He signed with Florida State but ended up attending a small college near Tallahassee for a year. He is expected to play for the Seminoles starting in 2021.
  10. Hamilton Lane. The Bala Cynwyd-based company is moving its headquarters to Seven Tower Bridge in Conshohocken in 2021.
