Governor Wolf orders closures of public venues and schools across Montgomery County

During a 2:00 p.m. press conference, Governor Tom Wolf ordered the closure of almost all public venues across Montgomery County, including all schools, daycares, entertainment centers, and gyms. He also stated that no mass gatherings should also not be held, including conferences, sporting events, concerts, and rallies.

Wolf also ordered all critical infrastructure to remain open. He mentioned all types of healthcare facilities, pharmacies, gas stations, grocery stores, government offices, mass transit, etc.

He only “strongly suggested” that nonessential retail close.

This is due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Montgomery County has 13 confirmed cases.
