Hospitalizations in Montgomery County due to Coronavirus decrease to under 30

According to state data, as of September 14th at noon, there were 29 people hospitalized in Montgomery County due to Coronavirus. Three of these patients required a ventilator. Our last report on September 11th had the state reporting 41 hospitalizations.

According to Montgomery County’s data hub, there have been no new deaths due to Coronavirus since our last report on September 12th.

There have been two deaths in September as of September 14th. June had 106 deaths, July had 21 and August ended with seven deaths.

The total number of deaths countywide since the start of the pandemic is 829.

While September 14th had 60 cases of Coronavirus reported, which is the first time it has had a one-day total above the high 50’s since late July, September 12th and 13th saw lower numbers than recent weeks at 27 and 30 respectively. The numbers were likely impacted by the holiday weekend and testing sites being closed, etc. The total number of cases countywide since the start of the pandemic is now 11,445.

The two charts above show the number of positive cases reported over the past 14 days. The number of cases over the past 14 days is 33 more than the previous 14 days. The number of cases over the past seven days is 68 less than the previous seven days.

The local data is as follows:

  • Conshohocken is at 64 cases, which is no change since September 11th. There have been no deaths.
  • West Conshohocken is at 12 cases, which is no change since September 11th. There have been no deaths
  • Plymouth Township is at 202 cases, which is four more than since September 11th. There have been seven deaths.
  • Whitemarsh Township is at 229 cases, which two more than since September 11th. There have been 23 deaths.
