I-76 West Ramp to Route 23 (Conshohocken) to be Closed Friday Night for Repair Work

The ramp to Conshohocken/West Conshohocken off of the Schuylkill Expressway is going to be closed for repairs starting 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1st. It scheduled to reopen the next morning at 6:00 a.m. Below are the details from PennDOT:

The off-ramp from westbound Interstate 76 to Route 23 (Conshohocken) in Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County, will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday (Aug. 1) to 6 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 2) for expansion joint and curb repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said today.

During the overnight ramp closure, motorists will be directed to Interstate 476 North, the off-ramp to Chemical Road, west on Ridge Pike, to the on-ramp to I-476 South, to the off-ramp to Route 23 and north on Matsonford Road.

Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel on westbound I-76 during the operations because slowdowns will occur. The operation is dependent on the weather.

Who closes the only exit for of a busting dining destination at 8:00 p.m. on a Friday night? PennDOT apparently. Hopefully someone from the offices of both Borough’s will be contacting PennDOT to request they push back the work schedule for a couple hours.
