Lafayette Hill’s Sam Lipkin was drafted by the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes

The NHL draft was last week and Lafayette Hill’s Sam Lipkin was selected by the Arizona Coyotes with the 223rd pick. Lipkin is a graduate of La Salle College High School and is set to play college hockey for Quinnipiac University.

Lipkin currently plays for the Chicago Steel in the USHL where he tallied 11 points in 30 games last season. Lipkin is scheduled to play for the Steel for one more year and then join Quinnipiac for the 2022-23 season.

“We’re thrilled for Sam and his family on this great accomplishment and look forward to watching his continued development with the Chicago Steel this season as he prepares for a productive Quinnipiac career, said Quinnipiac head coach Rand Pecknold.”
