Light Parker has Officially Closed its Doors. Holding Four Auctions to Sell Remaining Inventory

Light Parker, a furniture store that has been at the corner of West 1st Avenue and Fayette Street for years, has officially closed its doors and will now be auctioning its remaining inventory. The auction schedule is as follows:

Saturday, December 3rd at 1:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 4th at 1:00 p.m.
Monday, December 5th at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, December 6th at 6:30 p.m.

Please note that these are the auction start times. The doors will open two hours prior so you can check out what is available.

What is available? According to the promotional fliers available to take at the door, the inventory includes:

  • Living room furniture
  • Bedroom furniture
  • Dining room furniture (plus mattresses)
  • Leather items
  • Curios (we had to look this up, it means “interesting items”)
  • $1 million collection of Oriental and Persian rugs
  • Brands mentioned include Bernhardt, Drexel Heritage, Hickory Chair, Lexington, Thomas Gray and Vanguard
