Yesterday, registers at Target stores nationwide went down for two-hours. According to an article in the USA Today, the outage was due to an ” internal technology issue.”
So with anything anymore, people started tweeting from the store. Here is what was tweeted locally:
Check-out system is down & the line is around the store. I picked the WORST day to go shopping while I have a car in the ‘burbs, @target (@ Target in Plymouth Meeting, PA) https://t.co/l48vjsKZAf pic.twitter.com/xTJogdn4hn

According to this one tweet, the issue doesn’t seem to be completely resolved (or there is a new one):
Hey @Target I thought you resolved the issue? Your store in Plymouth Meeting PA is almost completely down – can’t accept any form of payment other than cash… this sucks…. major inconvenience

Yes, there is now a hashtag #targetdown that includes reports about an issue with registers at Target for a second day.
